Anthony Dewell Thompson, 22

Anthony Dewell Thompson, a 22-year-old black man, died Tuesday May 21, after he was shot two days earlier in the 10300 block of South Broadway in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

On May 19 at 1:30 p.m., Thompson was sitting on a couch in a home when a shooting occurred outside, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.

A bullet went through the wall of the home and struck Thompson, Kouri said.

When police arrived, any witnesses had fled along with the intended victims. It’s unknown whether the gunmen shot from a vehicle or on foot.

Thompson was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:11 p.m. May 21, according to coroner’s records.
