Anthony Winters, 42

Anthony Winters, a 42-year-old black man, died Tuesday, April 9, after he was shot in 7000 block of South Western Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

On Monday, April 8, at 11:55 p.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting and found Winters wounded on the sidewalk, said Los Angeles police Det. Dave Dilkes.

Paramedics responded and pronounced Winters dead at the scene at 12:15 a.m. April 9.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether a person walked up to Winters or shot at him from a vehicle.

Winters lived with his sister and was not a gang member, police said.

Detectives are looking for witnesses.
