Azniv Meguerian, 51
Azniv Meguerian, a 51-year-old Armenian woman, died Saturday, Dec. 15, after being shot in the 4500 block of Vanalden Avenue in Tarzana, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
The shooting occurred about 7:20 p.m. at a home. Meguerian and a 49-year-old man were found shot and then taken to a hospital for treatment.
Meguerian later died at the hospital, while the man remained in stable condition.
Soon after the incident, Los Angeles police arrested Hrant Meguerian, 59, in connection with the shooting. He was charged with murder and attempted murder.
Hrant Meguerian is being held in lieu of $3.5-million at the North County Correctional Facility in Castaic. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 25 at the Van Nuys Municipal Court.
