A newborn Latina, identified by the coroner as "Baby girl Rodriguez," was found dead Sunday, May 11, in Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.
The child appeared to be a full-term baby. Fire officials called to the home found her body wrapped in a comforter inside a bloody plastic bag in the garage, coroner's records said.
"Mother reportedly gave birth and threw the baby in the trash," the record said.
