Benjamin Nunez, 34, a Latino man, was shot multiple times at 14727 Olive St. in Baldwin Park and died at 11:36 p.m. Monday, July 30. He was standing outside when a car pulled up and its occupants shot him. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Ben you've been quite some time now and a day still never goes by where I don't think of you or the good times we shared. Memories flash through my mind and I try to pause them to remember the sound of your laughter or hear your voice again. I miss you so much, my heart was broken when you were taken in such a tragic way from those who truly loved you. The person responsible or people responsible may not get justice here on this earth but I know in the next life they will be judged by god for their actions and then there will be justice. I love you with the depths of my heart and I hope that you knew and know that and I hope you know how much I miss you and would have given anything to prevent this from happening to you. Life can be so confusing why things happen to good people, people who don't hurt others, people who are just starting their lives but although it pains me to miss you and I wish you were here I can only pray and have faith that you are at peace and looking down over me and seeing how I will never ever forget you. Until we meet again someday, all my love hugs and kisses and I hear you in my ear almost whispering "ok brat" lol. Love you always. Jess.
