Blanca Estela Dominguez, 43

Blanca Estela Dominguez, a 43-year-old Latina, was fatally stabbed Sunday, March 31, in the 600 block of West 14th Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner’s records.

About 3:20 p.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department were called to a residence after family members discovered the bodies of Dominguez and her husband, 38-year-old Oscar Montoya, according to a news release from the department.

Dominguez was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:21 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Investigators believe that Montoya stabbed Dominguez then fatally shot himself. Police recovered two guns and a knife. There wasn't a record of domestic violence between the couple, police said.

Family members went to the home because they were “concerned for their well-being based on recent communication” from the couple, police said in a statement.The couple did not have any children, police said.
