Bradford Wrenwick Smith Jr., 24

Bradford Wrenwick Smith Jr., a 24-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, March 14, in the 1800 block of West Adams Boulevard in Adams-Normandie, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 6:45 p.m., Smith was working under the hood of his car, LAPD Det. Dave Garrido said.

A light-colored truck pulled up and a person inside began shooting, striking Smith multiple times, Garrido said.

The truck fled west on West Adams Boulevard.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene at 7 p.m., according to coroner's records.
