Compton man charged with murder in Long Beach shooting

A Compton man was charged with murder Tuesday in connection with a shooting that left a 21-year-old man dead, according to Los Angeles Count district attorney's office.

Brandon Parker, 19, was charged with one count of murder in the death of Daniel Sevilla, as well as assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail.

On Friday, Long Beach police found Sevilla lying in the street with several gunshot wounds. Police have not revealed a motive for the killing, but they do not believe it was random.
