Brandon Dashon Tatum, 23
Brandon Tatum, a 23-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the 6100 block of South Harvard Boulevard in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 9:30 p.m., Tatum was walking southbound on South Harvard Boulevard when one or more people walked up and began shooting, said Los Angeles Police Det. Stacey Szymkowiak.
The attacker or attackers may have run to a vehicle, but police don’t yet have a description.
Tatum was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:44 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Tatum was not a gang member, but police are looking into the possibility that the suspect or suspects were gang members.
