Brothers plead not guilty in Reseda stabbing death

Two alleged teenage gang members pleaded not guilty in the stabbing death of Kevin Orellana, an 18-year-old student at West Valley Occupational Center in Woodland Hills.

Brothers Anthony Carpio, 17, and Michael Steven Carpio, 19, have each been charged with murder, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Anthony Carpio also faces a charge of using deadly weapon as a minor for the benefit of a street gang, according to prosecutors.

Michelle Pineda, 20, has also been charged with one count of accessory after the fact, with an allegation that the offense was committed for the benefit of a criminal street gang. Pineda is being held on $450,000 bail.

Anthony Carpio is being held on $1 million bail. Michael Carpio is being held on $1.04 million bail. The two are expected back in court Feb. 26.
