Bryan Serrano, 23

Bryan Serrano, a 23-year-old Latino, was fatally stabbed Saturday, Oct. 17 in the 5500 block of Geer Street in West Adams, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 11:20 p.m., Serrano was at a party when he got into an argument with another man in a garage area, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido. The assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed Serrano multiple times in the stomach, Garrido said.

Serrano was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:05 a.m. on Oct. 18, according to coroner’s records.

Francisco Jacobo, a 20-year-old Latino, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder in the case, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office. Jacobo pleaded not guilty on Nov. 18.
