Carlos Tejeda, a 28-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Friday, April 8, in the 3900 block of Tampico Street in El Sereno, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Residents in the area heard an argument followed by gunshots about 11 p.m. and found Tejeda shot outside, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
Authorities were called and the victim was pronounced dead at 11:10 p.m. Winter had no other information about the killing.
