A story for every victim

Ceasar Omar Molina, 29

Ceasar Omar Molina, a 29-year-old Latino, was shot Friday, June 23, at the intersection of Mansa Drive and Parise Drive in La Mirada, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators.

Molina was driving northbound on Parise Drive about 8 p.m., when he turned left onto Mansa Drive, said Lt. Joe Mendoza.

A light-colored car heading the opposite direction turned onto Parise Drive at the same time, and as the two cars passed, someone in the other car shot into Molina's car.

Molina was struck in the upper torso, Mendoza said. His car rolled forward until it hit a garage in the 14100 block of Mansa Drive. No one else was injured.

The gunman's vehicle headed southbound on Parise Drive then westbound on Lymark Street, Mendoza said.

Residents called for help and Molina was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center  in Orange, where he was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m., according to Orange County coroner's records.

Investigator's don't have a motive for a shooting or a description of the shooter. They also don't know how many people were in the light-colored car, Mendoza said.
