A story for every victim

Charles Gray, 65

Charles Gray, a 65-year-old black man, was stabbed to death Wednesday, May 16, in 900 block of East Fairview Boulevard in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Gray plowed his car into a home about 2:30 p.m., the Inglewood Police Department said.

After the crash, a man in a second vehicle became involved in a confrontation with Gray and stabbed him, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Inglewood police Lt. Gabriela Garcia said. Coroner’s records show Gray was stabbed in the neck.

Police were investigating whether one of the vehicles was chasing the other and caused the crash.

A man was apprehended by police about two hours after the crash, but authorities have not released his name.
