Christian Carter, a 19-year-old black man, died Tuesday, March 13, a day after he was shot in the 2100 block of West Century Boulevard in Westmont, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Carter was shot March 12 about 2 p.m.

Carter was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he died the next day.

According to coroner's records, Carter died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Winter had no other information about the shooting.
