Christopher James Cross, 54
Christopher Cross, a 54-year-old black man, was found dead Wednesday, Dec. 15, in the 200 block of South Burris Avenue in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Cross' body was discovered at his home by a friend, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department news release. Coroner's officials said he was shot several times.
Investigators said a motive for the shooting remains unknown.
