Christopher Lorren Traci, 24

Christopher Lorren Traci, a 24-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Aug. 11, in the 100 block of West 140th Street in Willowbrook, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Deputies responded about 11 p.m. to the scene, where two men had been hit by gunfire, said Deputy Pauline Panis of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Officials received multiple reports of the incident, the first call regarding a fight and gunshots overheard, and a second call about two men lying on the sidewalk.

Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital. Traci was pronounced dead; the second man, who sustained a bullet wound in his upper body, was expected to live, Panis said.

Sheriff’s Department officials do not have any information on the suspect or suspects. It is believed Traci may have had gang ties.
