Clarence Kennedy Walker, 37

Clarence Kennedy Walker, a 37-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the 10000 block of Broadway in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Walker was standing in an apartment complex courtyard about 6:40 p.m., when a man walked up to him and fired multiple shots, said LAPD Det. Mark Hahn.

Walker was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:52 p.m., said Ed Winter, a coroner's spokesman.

It is unclear what led to the shooting, Hahn said.
