Clarence Richardson, 34

Clarence Richardson, a 34-year-old black man, was shot and killed Thursday, Nov. 8, in the 2000 block of North Salinas Avenue in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Richardson and a woman were standing outside about 2:15 a.m. when an unknown man approached the two of them, authorities said.

After a brief conversation with Richardson, the man pulled out a gun and shot Richardson in the head, authorities said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
