Clay Allen Casey Sr., 49

Clay Allen Casey, Sr., a 49-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, Feb. 9, near Wilshire Boulevard and Shatto Place in Koreatown, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Casey and two women were sitting inside an SUV when a man approached and began shooting at them, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Marvin Mancia told The Times.

Casey was pronounced dead at the scene. The two women suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to flee. He was later arrested by police officers who heard the gunshots, police said.

The suspect's name was not immediately available.
