Clinton Givens, 39
Clinton Givens, a 39-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, Sept. 27, in the 1300 block of East Imperial Highway in Willowbrook, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 11:13 a.m., Givens was sitting on a milk crate in the Nickerson Gardens public housing development when two people walked up and one man shot him, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.
Police believe that the men ran back to a waiting vehicle, initially described as a light-colored sedan.
Givens was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:46 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
