Crystal Coronel, a 19-year-old Latina, was stabbed several times and died Monday, Dec. 21, in the 8200 block of Santa Fe Springs Road in Whittier, according to Los Angeles County coroner's officials.
Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said Coronel was discovered unresponsive by her apartment manager, who called police. She had been stabbed several times in her back, face and stomach, according to coroner's records.
