Cynthia Lanette Parker, 24

Cynthia Parker, a 24-year-old black woman, was fatally shot Thursday, June 17, in the 5000 block of South Wadsworth Avenue in South Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Parker was sitting in a vehicle about 10:40 p.m. when she was shot in the back.

Authorities were called, and Parker was taken to County-USC Hospital, where she died at 11:25 p.m., according to coroner's records.
