Damion Richardson, 32

Damion Richardson, a 32-year-old black man, was fatally shot Saturday, Feb. 4, in the 8600 block of South Main Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Police responded to a 911 call of a shooting about 9:30 a.m., said LAPD Criminal Gang Homicide Det. J. Kirby, who is handling the case.

When paramedics arrived, they found Richardson in a car with gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to California Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to coroner's records, Richardson died from several gunshot wounds to his body.

Det. Kirby said Richardson was actually shot near 112th and Olive streets. He was driven by friends to South Main Street and 86th Place, where they were met by paramedics.

Investigators said the killing was gang-related.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case, Kirby said, and there is no description of the assailant.
