Damon Lopez, 22
Damon Lopez, a 22-year-old white man, died Thursday, Aug. 22, after he was shot in the 1500 block of West 130th Street in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
People heard shots in the neighborhood about 11:47 p.m. Aug. 21, and saw Lopez on the curb suffering from gunshot wounds, said Lt. Dave Coleman with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department homicide bureau.
Lopez died at the scene at 12:04 a.m, said coroner’s spokesman Ed Winter.
Detectives are seeking witnesses.
