Dana Milo, 59

Dana Milo, a 59-year-old white woman, died Thursday, May 24, in the 300 block of West 14th Street in San Pedro, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Milo was pronounced dead at a residence about 1:30 a.m.

According to coroner's records, Milo died from blunt force trauma to the head by a hammer.

The woman was killed during a domestic incident, Winter said, and authorities took a person into custody, although he did not have the name of the alleged suspect.

The Times has contacted investigators to obtain additional details about the case and will post an update as soon as possible.
