Darin Patrick Sivley, a 53-year-old white man, was stabbed to death Tuesday, March 4, in the 15000 block of Studebaker Road in Norwalk, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sivley was stabbed while he was sleeping about 2:45 a.m. in a home by a person who wanted him to leave, said Ed Winter, a spokesman with the coroner’s office.

The man and Sivley knew each other, but it was unclear to investigators what the disagreement was about, said Lt. Steve Jauch with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Sivley was pronounced dead at a hospital at 3:35 a.m., Winter said.

An autopsy showed he died of a stab wound to the left arm.

William Edward Johnson, a 38-year-old white man, has been charged with one count of murder, according to the L.A. County district attorney's office. He is being held on $1-million bail. He is due in court March 17.
