David Canales, 20
David Canales, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot to death Saturday, Sept. 18, near Esperanza and Emery streets in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Canales was in a parking lot deejaying a rave party at about 10:11 p.m. when he got into an argument with a person and was shot, said Los Angeles Police Departmetnt Hollenbeck homicide Det. Joe Rios.
People at the party called 911, Rios said, and Canales was taken to a local hospital where he died a little more than 15 minutes later.
No arrests have been made in connection with the case, Rios said. Witnesses to the assault described the shooter as a Latino.
