David Cavallero Ramos, 42
David Cavallero Ramos, a 42-year-old Latino, was stabbed to death Sunday, Nov. 4, near Wilshire Boulevard and Alvarado Street in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
LAPD Rampart Homicide Det. Martinez, who is handling the case, said Ramos was stabbed by Seyoun Habtemariam about 4 p.m. The two knew each other, he said.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Coroner's records show Ramos suffered wounds to his neck.
Martinez said Habtemariam, a 53-year-old black man, was arrested in connection with the killing and charged with murder.
Habtemariam is currently being held on $1 million bail at the Pitchess Detention Center East Facility in Castaic. His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 18 at the Los Angeles Municipal Court.
