David Elijah Willis, 24
David Elijah Willis, a 24-year-old Black man, was shot and killed Friday, July 24, in the 500 block of West 117th Street in Vermont Vista, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
About 8 p.m., Willis was found in the front yard of a home with gunshot wounds, said Los Angeles police Det. Nathan Kouri.
Willis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Willis was living in a bronze SUV in front of the home where he was found, police said. Detectives are trying to determine what led up to the shooting.
