David Joseph Lopez, a 41-year-old, Latino, died Thursday, Sept. 1, weeks after sustaining blunt force trauma in the 1500 block of White Avenue in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 2:50 p.m. Aug. 19, authorities responded to a call about an unresponsive man in Ganesha Park, Pomona Police Sgt. Brian Hagerty said. Officers found Lopez, a transient, with injuries to his head, Hagerty said.
Lopez was taken to the hospital in critical condition, Hagerty said, and was pronounced dead at 6:14 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
