Dean Joseph Camacho, 48
Dean Camacho, a 48-year-old Latino, died Sunday, June 26, in the 9400 block of San Fernando Road in Sun Valley, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Camacho was a patient at a mental health facility when he was killed, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
The victim was attacked by another patient and suffered multiple sharp force injuries to his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:26 p.m.
Authorities arrested the attacker, Jerry Romansky, and charged him with murder, said LAPD Foothill Det. J. Martinez.
Romansky, a 27-year-old white man, is being held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility downtown.
His next court appearance is scheduled for July 12 at North Valley Municipal Court in San Fernando.
