Deaundre Devonte Hunt, a 16-year-old black male, died Sunday, Nov. 19, after being shot in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

I'll be darned if I did not learn a valuable, but common sense lesson from that brief you posted Meck. If you dress like a gang member, you are subject to be murdered. And if you hang out in a Park where gangs are known to hang out at, you are subject to a similar fate. Having said that, I do believe that a lot of the Men and Women that are now deceased, RIP, listed in these pages by the Latimes were not all officially in a gang, but instead were affiliates and or simply lived in the neighborhood, but nonetheless, looked like a member and likely promoted the turf as an official member and as result were not Volunteers to this type of violence, but simply Victims (wrong place and the wrong time). I digress,

As a parent, I think that the message is a simple one. "If I cannot afford to leave the area, at the very least, I should make sure little Johnny or Sally does not Hang out with the local Gang or Dress like the local gang. If they follow those simple rules, the chances of them being victims go way, way down!"
