Delaney James Dokins, 28

Delaney James Dokins, a 28-year-old black man, was fatally shot Wednesday, March 23, in the 3200 block of West 99th Street in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner records. 

Inglewood police were called to the scene about 9:55 p.m. about a shooting victim, according to a department news release. 

Dokins was pronounced dead at the scene at 10 p.m. with multiple gunshot wounds, according to coroner's records. 

Witnesses told investigators that a black adult male walked up to the victim and opened fire, according to the news release. Department spokesman Lt. Scott Collins said he couldn't provide any additional details about the shooting or the suspect.
