Devin Dupree Glapion, a 27-year-old black male, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, after being shot in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Frustrating ain't it? But the argument against you will be, "What do you know?" Shoot, read these reports and comments long enough and the pattern is there for anyone with common sense to deduce from.

You nailed it, but a lot of the times the family either doesn't have time (ends) or they believe what their children tell them. It isn't until they read their own offspring's report and comments that it sinks in and too often even then there is backlash and denial!!!

Role models. There's such a thing as your biggest mentor being someoene who never got it right. At least they've tought you what NOT to do.

So it boils down to common sense. There's such a thing as street sense, but what does that buy the majority? Another couple of years? Common sense would tell you to flea the area post haste!

Statistics don't lie, but unfortunately too many young kids strive to become one. I still get drawn to this site for some reason but it doesn't change, you can give it a couple months and pick it back up at the next line without missing a beat.

It's not even about specific gangs and it never was. It's the mentality of L.A. Gangs. It goes back to the 50's. This is just the way it is out there.

From what I see, the Cops in L.A. are not these fun loving guys like "End of Watch" they are totally hostile, and similar to gangsters themselves.

A bunch of ex-military red-necks who like to see trouble stirred up.

Los Angeles is like a different country with all these gang killings. Chicago is very similar. Back in the 90's you had these 30 story projects everywhere, they tore em down, now the entire city is under siege just like L.A. Metro area.

You can't do anything to stop this, if a kid wants to live his life playing around in the streets then that's what it is.

My question is why is it that after 20 or 30 years of thousands of murders in these areas does nobody learn from it?

These kids don't have good parental guidance. When I was a kid I was fortunate enough to get my butt whipped every time I messed up. I went to jail a few times but finally learned my lesson. These kids don't have ANY adult role models except the OG's out there who are mentally ill from all the years in prison and gang wars themselves. So at the end of the day, THESE KIDS HAVE NO POSITIVE ROLE MODELS IN THESE COMMUNITIES.
