Douglas Anthony Green, 38

Douglas Anthony Green, a 38-year-old black male, was shot and killed Friday, Sept. 23, in the 2500 block of West Compton Boulevard in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.   

Green was walking in his neighborhood when he was shot about 4:42 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Jauch said. 

Residents called 911 to report gunfire, and deputies found Green lying on the street with multiple gunshot wounds, Jauch said. Green was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:53 a.m., according to coroner’s records. 

Investigators found seven shell casings at the scene, according to coroner’s records. No one reported seeing the shooting, Jauch said, so investigators don’t have any suspect information.
