Duncan Eric Campbell, a 51-year-old white male, died Sunday, March 29, after being stabbed near 800 N. Mariposa Ave. in East Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Duncan Campbell was my big brother. He was not only my big brother, he was my mentor, my teacher, he was an artist, a comedian that by the end of a phone call that started with me crying he made sure I was laughing extremely hard. He opened his home or what he referred to as his "Sanctuary" to the homeless for a meal and a shower. Duncan was an amazing soul. Loved by many. I have the honor to say he not only was my big brother, but he was my best friend and biggest supporter. I'll never be the same without him. This is the huge loss to his community. This is even bigger loss to the Arts and theater community his biggest love. They say friends are like stars, you don't always see them but you always know they're there. Duncan has always been and will always be my star.
