Dwayne Rogers, 43
Dwayne Rogers, a 43-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Oct. 14, in the 4000 block of Nicolet Avenue in Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Rogers was standing outside a house with a group of people about 12:15 a.m. when an unknown person began shooting.
Authorities were called, and Rogers was taken to a hospital for treatment, however he died about nine hours later, Winter said. Coroner's records show Rogers suffered gunshot wounds to his upper torso and left arm.
Thurmond Price, a 22-year-old black man, was also killed in the shooting, Winter said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Winter had no other information about the attacks.
