Eduardo Castro, 60

Eduardo Castro, a 59-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, May 17, in the 1400 block of South Concord Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

About 12:30 p.m., Castro was riding his bike south on South Concord Street when a truck pulled up and a passenger shot him multiple times, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez.

Castro was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:28 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Detectives are seeking witnesses to the shooting, which occurred in an industrial area. It’s unknown where Castro was heading.
