Yesenia Elisabeth Quintanilla, 23

Yesenia Quintanilla, a 23-year-old Latina, died Sunday, Nov. 28, two days after she was shot in the 500 block of West 92nd Street in Vermont Vista, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Quintanilla was inside a house about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 26 when a fight began and a man began shooting inside, said LAPD Criminal Gang & Homicide Det. Kerri Potter, who is handling the case.

Authorities were called and Quintanilla was taken to a hospital where she remained until her death Nov. 28. According to coroner's records, she was shot in the head.

Potter said another person was also shot during the incident and is currently hospitalized in critical condition.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case, and investigators do not have any additional details about the shooter.
