Emanuel Gutierrez, a 21-year-old Latino, was stabbed to death Saturday, June 2, in the 4200 block of West 111th Street in Lennox, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Gutierrez was involved in an altercation prior to being killed, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
The unknown assailant chased down Gutierrez and stabbed him several times.
After the stabbing, the victim took refuge in a frontyard and called paramedics for help, Winter said.
Authorities arrived and pronounced Gutierrez dead at the scene at 8:17 p.m.
