Enedine Vigil, 33 [Updated]
Enedine Vigil, a 33-year-old white woman, was shot and killed Tuesday, Jan. 4, in the 6500 block of Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Officers responding to a "shots fired" call about 3 a.m. found Vigil lying in a hallway with gunshot wounds, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
She was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, the LAPD said.
Police said they found Paul Matthew Allee in the woman's apartment. Allee, a 32-year-old white man, refused to leave the apartment, sparking a standoff that ended about 7 a.m. when he was subdued with a Taser device.
Police said officers recovered a handgun, believed to be the weapon used to kill Vigil.
Two days after the killing, prosecutors charged Allee with murder in connection with Vigil’s death.
He is being held at the North County Correctional Facility in Castaic in lieu of $2-million bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 26 at the Los Angeles Municipal Court.
[Updated Feb. 22, 3:36 p.m: Allee is scheduled to appear at the Los Angeles Municipal Court Thursday for a preliminary hearing, according to a spokeswoman from the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.
