Erik Herrera, a 32-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, Dec. 16, in the 4200 block of Tweedy Boulevard in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Herrera's father discovered him shot at his work about 11:36 a.m., said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
Authorities were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
