Everardo Cruz, 28
Everardo Cruz, a 28-year-old Latino, was found dead about 10:20 a.m. Saturday, March 3, in the L.A. River, near Southern Avenue in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Coroner's records show Cruz had several bruises on his body and a gunshot wound to the head.
Officials did not release any additional information about the case.
