Felicia Rae Page, a 36-year-old black woman, was shot and killed Friday, April 26, near South Hoover Street and West 63rd Place in Vermont-Slauson, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

About 6:20 p.m., Page was in a dark-colored Chevy Malibu traveling east on West 63rd Place when a person in a white SUV opened fire, striking her, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.

One of the bullets also hit an 11-year-old girl who was walking on the sidewalk with her mother, Garrido said. 

Page was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:32 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

The girl is expected to survive.
