Felipe Villalobos, 31

Felipe Villalobos, a 31-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, March 25, in the 9000 block of Orion Avenue in North Hills, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Villalobos was involved in an altercation with a group of men at 7:19 p.m. when an unknown person pulled out a gun and shot him, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

After the shooting, the assailant fled.

Authorities were called and the victim was taken to a hospital in Mission Hills where he was pronounced dead at 9:31 p.m.

where do I start?
As I write this, I am remembering when I first met him in junior high. I never thought you would become such a great friend. funny how I have millions of memories of him but have a hard time finding something to type. I guess some emotions and memories are hard to put into words. It has been some time now and every now and then flashes come back, especially when I drive by our old stomping grounds. wow. I remember a time when he was at his lowest points (of coarse before the passing of his father which devastated him). Yeah, I definitely saw him go through good times and bad. Then again, he saw me go through the same. I knew him so well, it was like he was transparent. yeah, we were really close.
