Francisco Cebrero, 62

Francisco Cebrero, a 58-year-old Latino man, was shot and killed Sunday, Nov. 1, near Independence Avenue and Saticoy Street in Canoga Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

About 9:15 p.m., Cebrero was found in an alley with a gunshot wound, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Cebrero was pronounced dead at 9:25 p.m., according to coroner’s records. Records show that a passerby found Cebrero, then called police. 

Cebrero's family has organized an online fundraiser to pay for funeral expenses. The organizer described Cebrero as a father who would "make our day with a good morning or a goodnight message."
