Frankie Bell, a 30-year-old black woman, was found strangled to death in the 10400 block of South Olive Street in Broadway-Manchester on Jan. 1, 1985.
Authorities did not provide any additional information about this incident. They did describe her death as among the slayings believed to be connected to an unidentified serial killer operating in the South L.A. area.
