Gerard Hernandez, 27
Gerard Hernandez, a 27-year-old Latino man, was hit by gunfire at 2830 Lancaster Avenue in Boyle Heights, and died at 9:46 p.m. Feb. 7.
Police said Hernandez's assailants walked up to him, fired and fled. He suffered several gunshot wounds to the chest and still managed to stumble to the street to get help. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he died.
