German Navarro, a 23-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, March 17, near South Figueroa Street and West Redondo Beach Boulevard in Harbor Gateway, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Police responded to a shooting about 8:20 p.m. and found Navarro motionless on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.
Navarro was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:24 p.m.
Navarro was not a gang member, and police are looking into why someone would shoot him, Garrido said.
